Solo and two-up seats, pillion pads and seat covers, sissy bars, backrests and luggage racks, and the docking hardware, uprights, pads, seat bolts and mounting kits that install them, for the Softail.

Softail Fitment

Softail covers '84-'17 - FXST, FLSTF Fat Boy, FLSTC Heritage, FXSTB Night Train, FLS Slim and FXSB Breakout. These are cable-throttle bikes. 2018 and up is the M8 Softail, a different platform - see M8 Softail Parts.

Years that change what fits:

• 2000 - the Softail took the Twin Cam, a year after Touring and Dyna.
• 2018 - the Milwaukee-Eight Softail replaced both the Softail and the Dyna on a new frame.

Choosing A Seat

A seat is cut for a specific fender line and specific mounting points, which makes it one of the least forgiving parts to buy by eye. Decide solo or two-up first, then foam: gel and multi-density foam matter most past the first hour in the saddle, and a thin custom seat looks right and rides hard. Sissy bars and backrests are usually sold separately from their mounting hardware or docking kits, and the pad may be its own part number again.
