Calipers

Four-piston and six-piston front and rear calipers, in direct bolt-on and radial-mount configurations, from Performance Machine, Arlen Ness and Hawg Halters. Differential-bore designs are offered where the manufacturer builds them, using staggered piston sizes to spread pad pressure more evenly across the pad face.

Rotors

Front and rear rotors in stainless and two-piece floating designs, from 11.5in and 11.8in replacements up to 13in, 14in and 15in big-brake kits. Wave, Cubiq and Crown Cut patterns come from Galfer, Lyndall Racing Brakes, GBrakes, Performance Machine and Arlen Ness.

Getting The Fitment Right

Dyna brakes changed more than once across the platform's life, and three things decide what fits:

• Your front end. The '84-'99 39mm fork bikes use different caliper mounts from the later models, and several caliper kits here are listed specifically for 39mm front ends.
• Rotor diameter and bolt circle. An oversize rotor usually requires the matching caliper or a relocation bracket. Kits that include both are listed as kits.
• Spoke versus cast wheels. Some caliper kits are sold in a spoke-wheel version with its own part number.

Every product page lists the exact years and front-end sizes the manufacturer specifies. Match those against your bike before ordering, and if a rotor and caliper are meant to be run together, buy them as the set.
