What Is In This Collection

Front end and suspension parts for the FXR - fork tubes, springs, cartridges and emulators, fork braces, triple trees, rear shocks, preload adjusters, and the bushings, seals and mounting hardware that go with them. What we currently list moves as the brands we carry release more for the platform.

FXR Fitment

FXR covers '82-'94 - FXR, FXRS, FXRT, FXRP and the '99-'00 FXR2, FXR3 and FXR4. The FXR is cable throttle and carbureted, so no throttle-by-wire or Milwaukee-Eight part applies.

Years that change what fits:

• 1994 - the original FXR run ended; the FXR2, FXR3 and FXR4 were built in limited numbers for '99 and '00.

Fork Diameter Comes First

Fork tubes, lower legs, cartridges and trees are all cut to a diameter - 35mm, 39mm, 41mm, 43mm and 49mm front ends are not interchangeable, and a great deal of fitment comes down to that number rather than the model name. On shocks, length is a real decision: shorter drops the bike and costs travel and ground clearance, longer changes the geometry. Match spring rate and preload to your weight and how you load the bike.
