A complete ARP 12-point stainless fastener kit for the FXR chassis, built to Feuling's spec and finished to be seen.
Chrome hardware on an FXR has a habit of pitting, seizing in the threads and rounding off the first time it comes back out. This kit replaces the visible chassis and trim fasteners with hardened stainless from ARP, rolled rather than cut so the threads engage properly and torque consistently. The 12-point heads take a socket on twelve faces instead of six, which is what keeps a wrench from slipping on a bolt you can barely reach. ARP rates the tensile strength at 170,000 psi, stronger than OEM and stronger than a grade 8 fastener.
Features of the ARP 12-Point Chassis and Trim Kit
- Hardened stainless steel 12-point bolts in ARP's SHOW corrosion resistant finish
- Precision rolled threads for full engagement, to prevent galling and give consistent torque loading
- Wide underhead flange spreads clamp load evenly for better sealing and fewer leaks
- Eliminates the thread problems that come with chromed hardware
- Tensile strength rated at 170,000 psi by ARP, above OEM and above grade 8
- Moly assembly lubricant included
- Manufactured by ARP to Feuling's exact specifications
- Made in the U.S.A.
What the Kit Covers
- Front right rotor
- Fork clamps and front stabilizer
- Headlight bracket and voltage regulator
- Rear fender struts, upper and lower rear shocks
- Rear rotor and rear pulley or sprocket
- Rear swingarm supports
- Right and left side covers, dash
- Right and left foot pegs, shifter peg
- Front axle nut
Two installation notes from Feuling. The kit covers the front right rotor only, because the bolts do not clear the speedometer drive on the left side. The upper rear shock bolts require the fender hole to be drilled larger.

Common Questions About the ARP 12-Point Kit
Is this the engine and primary kit?
No. This one covers the chassis and trim fasteners listed above. Feuling builds a separate ARP kit for the primary and transmission covers.
Why 12-point heads instead of hex?
Twelve contact faces let a socket engage at half the rotation of a six point, which matters on the fasteners you can only reach at an angle, and there is far less to round off.
Do I still need thread locker?
Use the moly assembly lubricant supplied and torque to the service manual figure. Moly lube changes the friction, so torque values assume it is there.
