What Diamond Chain Makes
Diamond Chain builds roller chain, with a reputation for chain that outlasts and outperforms under load. What we list from Diamond Chain moves as the catalog moves.
Fitment
Chain is specified by pitch, link count and construction rather than by model year, so check the pitch and the number of links your bike needs before ordering. A chain conversion also needs sprockets that match the pitch.
Sealed Or Non-Sealed
A sealed chain, sometimes called O-ring or X-ring, holds lubricant in at the pin and keeps road grit out. It costs more up front and lasts considerably longer on a street bike. Non-sealed chain runs with less drag and is the usual choice where it gets stripped and cleaned often.
Either way, a chain and its sprockets wear as a set. Fitting a new chain to worn sprockets is the quickest way to ruin the new chain.
