Softail Fitment

Softail covers '84-'17 - FXST, FLSTF Fat Boy, FLSTC Heritage, FXSTB Night Train, FLS Slim and FXSB Breakout. These are cable-throttle bikes. 2018 and up is the M8 Softail, a different platform - see M8 Softail Parts.

Years that change what fits:

• 2000 - the Softail took the Twin Cam, a year after Touring and Dyna.
• 2018 - the Milwaukee-Eight Softail replaced both the Softail and the Dyna on a new frame.

Before You Buy An Exhaust

A full system and a slip-on are different purchases: a slip-on changes the muffler on your existing head pipes, while a two-into-one replaces everything from the ports back. Either way, opening up the exhaust leans out the mixture, so plan on a tune alongside it - see Tuners & Fuel Systems. Heat shields, mounting brackets and O2 sensor bungs are not always included; check what comes in the box. Any emissions or legality statement belongs to the manufacturer, not to us.
