What Is In This Collection

Covers for the outside of the engine and primary - derby and inspection covers, points and timer covers, primary and cam covers, rocker box and lifter block covers, and the gaskets, studs and mounting hardware that go with them, for the Softail.

Softail Fitment

Softail covers '84-'17 - FXST, FLSTF Fat Boy, FLSTC Heritage, FXSTB Night Train, FLS Slim and FXSB Breakout. These are cable-throttle bikes. 2018 and up is the M8 Softail, a different platform - see M8 Softail Parts.

Years that change what fits:

2000 - the Softail took the Twin Cam, a year after Touring and Dyna.
2018 - the Milwaukee-Eight Softail replaced both the Softail and the Dyna on a new frame.

Before You Order

Covers are cut for a specific motor family and, for derby and primary covers, a specific primary cover shape - Evo, Twin Cam and Milwaukee-Eight are all different, and a five-hole and a three-hole derby cover are not interchangeable. Most covers need a new gasket or O-ring on refitting, which is a cheap part to add to the order and an annoying one to be without with the cover already off.
