Bagger & Touring Fitment

Bagger & Touring covers '84-'26 - Street Glide, Road Glide, Electra Glide, Road King and Ultra. Touring moved to throttle-by-wire in 2008, and every Milwaukee-Eight is throttle-by-wire.

Years that change what fits:

• 2009 - the touring frame was redesigned, changing the chassis, rear fender and exhaust routing.
• 2014 - Project Rushmore reworked the fairings, brakes, clutch and electronics. Road Glide sat out '14 and returned for '15.
• 2017 - the Milwaukee-Eight replaced the Twin Cam.

Diameter, Then Dimensions, Then Cables

Diameter first: 1 inch and 1-1/4 inch bars need matching risers and control clamps, though many 1-1/4 inch bars step down to 1 inch at the ends so stock controls still fit. Then dimensions: rise, width and pullback together decide reach, and a tall ape that looks right may put your hands above your shoulders. Then cables: anything past a couple of inches of extra rise needs extended lines and wiring - budget for a handlebar install kit at the same time.
