Softail Fitment

Softail covers '84-'17 - FXST, FLSTF Fat Boy, FLSTC Heritage, FXSTB Night Train, FLS Slim and FXSB Breakout. These are cable-throttle bikes. 2018 and up is the M8 Softail, a different platform - see M8 Softail Parts.

Years that change what fits:

• 2000 - the Softail took the Twin Cam, a year after Touring and Dyna.
• 2018 - the Milwaukee-Eight Softail replaced both the Softail and the Dyna on a new frame.

Before You Order

Soft bags are mostly universal but still need somewhere to mount - check whether the bag includes its straps or a support bracket, particularly on a bike without a sissy bar or bag guard. Without saddlebag supports a soft bag can foul the shock, the exhaust or the rear wheel, and a support bracket is not optional.
