ARP 12-point engine hardware for the Evolution big twin, built to Feuling's spec and rated well past what came out of the factory.
Evo engine bolts live a hard life: heat cycles, vibration and, on the outside of the motor, twenty five years of weather. Stock and chromed replacements give up in predictable ways, galling in the threads or losing clamp load until a cover starts to seep. ARP makes these from 8740 chrome moly, heat treated and rated at 170,000 psi tensile, with threads rolled instead of cut so they engage fully and torque consistently. The wide flange under each head spreads the clamp load across the surface, which is the part that actually keeps a gasket sealed.

What Is in the Kit
This is the external engine kit. It covers the fasteners around the outside of the motor and the mounts: front engine mount, front case mount, rear engine to transmission mount, oil filter adapter mount, upper oil pump, cam cover, case nuts, and rocker covers with sealing washers.

Common Questions About the ARP Evo Kit
Does this include the rocker box housing bolts?
No. This kit covers the fasteners around the outside of the motor and the engine mounts. The separate rocker housing kit is no longer available.
Do I torque these to the factory figures?
Use the service manual values with the supplied moly lubricant applied. Moly changes thread friction, and a torque figure only means something with the lubricant it was written for.
Why not chrome hardware?
Chrome plating adds thickness to the threads and is the usual source of galling and inconsistent torque on an Evo. ARP's finishes are applied without that penalty.
