Worth Knowing

Gas caps are vented or non-vented, and they are not interchangeable. A non-vented cap on a tank that needs venting will starve the motor as the tank draws down - it feels like a fuel pump problem and it is not.

An oil cooler is worth real consideration on an air-cooled motor that sits in traffic or gets ridden hard in summer heat. An oil pressure gauge is the cheapest early warning you can fit to a Twin Cam.
