Big Papi High-Flow Air Cleaner / '17-'25 Milwaukee-Eight

The Trask Big Papi is a high flow air cleaner with a clear acrylic cover, built around an internal velocity stack.

Most air cleaners hide their work behind a cover. The Big Papi puts a clear acrylic window over the internal velocity stack, so you can see straight into the throttle body while the engine is running. It is an unusual thing to look at and it is also the honest way to show that the airflow path is doing something, because the stack is the part that reduces restriction.

What the Big Papi Does

Trask states it moves significantly more air for stronger throttle response and improved power across the curve. The billet aluminum backing plate carries an integrated breather recirculation system, so the crankcase breathers route back through the intake rather than being left to weep. A rain sock is included. Made in the USA under U.S. Patent 10,876,503 B2.

Trask splits this air cleaner into two generations. Pick the generation first, then the finish.

• Gen 1 M8 fits '17-'25 FLHRXS Road King Special, '24 FLHTK Ultra Limited and FLTRK Road Glide Limited, '17-'23 FLHT Electra Glide, FLHR Road King, FLHX Street Glide and FLTR Road Glide except the '23 FLHXSE and FLTRXSE, '17-'25 Harley-Davidson FL Trike, and '18-'24 Softail
• Gen 2 M8 fits '24-'25 FLHX Street Glide, FLHXU Street Glide Ultra, FLTRX Road Glide and FLTRXSTSE CVO Road Glide ST, '23-'25 FLHXSE CVO Street Glide and FLTRXSE CVO Road Glide, and '25 Softail

The line between the two generations is the chassis change Harley made partway through 2023. The CVO models led it, the rest of the Touring range followed for 2024.

Works With

The replacement element is the Trask Replacement Air Filter for Big Papi. It is specific to this air cleaner and does not interchange with the Assault Charge filter.
