Most tuning devices trim the stock ECM's decisions. This one replaces the ECM outright, which is why it can do things a piggyback cannot. Alpha-N fuel control means the system reads throttle position rather than manifold pressure, so a long duration cam with heavy overlap does not confuse it the way it confuses a speed density setup. For a heavily cammed motor that difference is the whole reason to buy this instead of something cheaper.

What the TDFI Kit Includes and Does

The kit ships complete: a TCFI plug-in fuel injection controller, a USB interface for the PC, the software, a WEGO IID dual channel wide band exhaust gas oxygen sensor interface, and two Bosch LSU 4.2 wide band sensors. Auto-tuning runs continuously in real time, with monitoring, control and override available whenever you want to take charge of it. PC Link software handles the detail work through 3-D graphics and spreadsheet style editing for fast cell block changes.

Built-in data logging is the part that earns its keep when something is wrong on the road rather than on the dyno. Programmable user outputs drive a shift light, nitrous activation or an electric shifter. All sensors are supported, including theft and security modules.
