Compression is a trade, not a virtue. Dropping to 10.2:1 costs a little at the top of the tach and returns torque low and wide, where a street bike spends its whole life. The T124LC is the S&S long block for riders who care more about how the motor pulls out of a corner than what it reads on a dyno sheet, and it runs comfortably on fuel you can actually buy.

What Sets the T124LC Apart

Forged dish pistons displacing 11cc set the compression, running a 4 1/8" bore against a 4 5/8" stroke. Super Stock heads sit on a T2 crankcase, with a TC3 oil pump and cam plate managing lubrication and easy start 585 gear drive cams behind a redesigned cam cover. Head machining is specific to this motor so it accepts stock length intake manifolds using S&S manifold size 405, and the breathing system stays stock style, which keeps the motor compatible with stock and most performance air cleaners. Components are made in the USA.

What Else You Need With the T124LC

An oil line installation kit is required for '07-'16 Twin Cam engines: oil line kit. The motor does not include a carburetor, intake or ignition system; those come from the Tuners and Fuel Systems section.

Cylinder heads on T series long blocks are '99-'05 style, so 2006 model owners need a set of '99-'05 style offset intake flanges. The '07-'16 engines are not recommended for Trike models. Professional installation and tuning are advised.
