Step-Up Seats / '91-'95 Dyna

A stepped two up seat with a high lumbar back for the early Dyna, built on GelCore over Saddlemen's self skinning Ultra-Foam.

The Step-Up does two things at once that usually pull against each other: it holds the rider forward and still under power with a raised rear step and a high lumbar section, and it stays comfortable an hour later thanks to a GelCore interior set into Ultra-Foam. The foam is the part worth understanding. Saddlemen's molding process skins the outside of the foam as it forms, sealing water out, which is why these keep their shape instead of going soft after a wet season.

Fits '91-'95 Harley-Davidson FXD Dyna models. Does not fit the FXDWG Wide Glide.

Stitch Patterns

Front tuck-n-roll, front lattice stitch, rear lattice stitch, full lattice stitch, and front tuck-n-roll with rear lattice stitch. Black throughout, with brown offered on several patterns.

Common Questions About the Step-Up Seat

Why not the Wide Glide?
The FXDWG uses a different seat pan and frame arrangement, so Saddlemen excludes it from this fitment.

What does GelCore actually do?
It sits inside the foam rather than on top of it, so you get the pressure spreading of gel without the seat feeling loose underneath you.
