What the REVO ARC adds over a stock unit is separation: compression damping and rebound damping adjust independently, so the shock's reaction to a bump and its recovery from one are two different decisions.

How the REVO ARC Shocks Work

A 35 mm monotube body runs deflective disc valve stacks with a balanced and matched piston and base-valve design specific to these applications. The nitrogen gas bladder allows ultra-fast response with no stiction, and low friction seals with PTFE based sliding bearings preserve that through the stroke. REVO's extended coil length creates a larger usable range without a longer shock, and preload adjusts by hand with no tools, which makes switching between solo and loaded a two minute job.
