Legend REVO ARC Piggyback Coil Suspension for '04-'21 Sportsters mounts the reservoir directly to the shock body, keeping the damping oil separate from the gas charge.
A piggyback reservoir does the same job a remote one does without the hoses. Separating the damping oil from the nitrogen charge stops the oil aerating as the shock heats, which is what makes damping fade on a long rough road. On a Sportster, where the rear shocks work harder relative to the bike's mass than on a bagger, that consistency is felt sooner.
How the REVO ARC Piggyback Shocks Work
A 35 mm monotube body carries deflective disc valve stacks with a piston and base-valve design matched to these applications. Compression and rebound damping adjust independently through adjusters designed for fast, precise, repeatable changes. Preload sets by hand with no tools, and REVO's extended coil length widens the usable range without lengthening the shock. Low friction seals and PTFE based sliding bearings keep the action smooth through the stroke.

Choosing Standard or Heavy Duty
On Sportsters, heavy duty is recommended for 250 lbs and above of combined rider and passenger weight. Also consider heavy duty if most of your riding is two up or loaded.
