The Dyna is the Harley people ride hard, and its rear suspension is the part that most often runs out of answers first. Stock shocks bottom on the sharp stuff and float over the long stuff, because one valving compromise has to cover both. The REVO ARC splits that into two adjustments, so how the shock absorbs a hit and how it recovers are set independently.
How the REVO ARC Piggyback Shocks Work
The reservoir mounts to the shock body rather than remotely, keeping damping oil separated from the nitrogen charge without hoses to route. Inside, deflective disc valve stacks work with a balanced and matched piston and base-valve design specific to these motorcycles. A nitrogen gas bladder gives ultra-fast response with no stiction. Legend's touring specific spring rates and REVO's extended coil length give a larger usable range without a longer shock, and preload changes by hand.

Choosing Standard or Heavy Duty
On Dyna models, heavy duty is recommended for 250 lbs and above of combined rider and passenger weight, and worth considering if most of your riding is two up or loaded.
