A lifter does two jobs on a Harley-Davidson: it follows the cam and it feeds oil to everything above it. Feuling CNC machines and precision grinds the HP+ to hold its geometry under spring pressures a stock lifter was never asked to see, which is what keeps the roller and the cam lobe alive on a cammed motor. The second job is where the HP+ pays off over the long run. Run alongside a Feuling oil pump, they increase oil flow to the valves, springs, rockers, shafts and guides, and it is oil starvation up top that ends most top ends.

⚠️ VERIFY your motor family before ordering, not just the year. The Evolution, early Sportster and Twin Cam lifter bodies are not interchangeable, and the year alone will not tell you which one is in the bike on a rebuilt motor.

Common Questions About the HP+ Lifters

Do I need a Feuling oil pump to use these?
No. They work as a direct replacement on a stock oiling system. The added oil flow to the top end is what you get when the pump goes in with them.

Do I have to replace the pushrods too?
Not necessarily, but the lifters cannot come out on most models without pulling the pushrods, so adjustable pushrods are worth considering while it is open.

Are these noisy?
They are hydraulic lifters and they bleed down when the bike sits, so a short rattle on a cold start is normal. Persistent noise after the motor is warm is a bleed down or an oil supply problem, not the lifter design.
