Sportsters are the platform where displacement is felt most directly, because there is less motorcycle for the extra torque to move. The Hooligan kit is built around removing every obstacle to getting there: no machining, no rebalancing, and stock heads, pushrods and fuel system all stay. For an 883 owner in particular, this is the difference between a different bike and a different engine build.

What Comes in the Hooligan Kit

The core is an S&S 4" big bore cylinder kit with 10.5:1 pistons. Around it sit S&S 585 Easy Start cams, Quickee pushrods and premium hydraulic tappets, so the valvetrain matches the new displacement instead of limiting it. A TC3 cam support plate and oil pump keep oil pressure consistent as the motor works harder, which is the part that determines whether the build lasts. Made in the USA.
