The Daytona Twin Tec M8FI Gen 8 is a fully reprogrammable plug-in racing ECU for '17-'20 M8 motors, developed for King of the Baggers off-road racing.

This is a racing ECU, and that framing matters before anything else. Daytona Twin Tec built it for closed course competition, and the three manifold pressure sensor options tell you what it expects to be attached to: 1 Bar for naturally aspirated, 2 Bar and 3 Bar for turbocharged motors. Alpha-N fuel control reads throttle position and rpm rather than manifold pressure, which is why long duration, high overlap camshafts do not confuse it.

What the M8FI Gen 8 Does

Auto-tune is included in every M8FI system, using the supplied Bosch LSU 4.2 wide-band sensors and a dual channel exhaust gas oxygen interface to adjust fuel curves on a dyno or on the road. Data logging runs continuously and stores 60 minutes of operating information at 10 samples per second, which is what lets you diagnose a problem that only appears at speed. Full ignition control comes with it, and all modules on the bike remain supported.

Programmable inputs drive a two stage rpm limiter, nitrous retard and shift kill. Programmable outputs handle a shift light, nitrous activation and an electric shifter. The housing is billet aluminum with a black anodized finish.
