Race Series Short Travel Camchest Kits / Milwaukee-Eight

A complete 487 Reaper camchest built around Race Series short travel lifters.

This is the camchest as a finished package rather than a parts list. It is engineered as a bolt-in camshaft upgrade for factory 114 and 117 inch Harley-Davidson Milwaukee-Eight engines, and it responds well to increased bore or compression.

Short travel lifters run 0.115 inch of travel against the 0.200 inch of a full travel lifter. Feuling states the reduction raises usable rpm by cutting valve float and valvetrain harmonics, and reduces oil aeration inside the lifter on steep, fast action high lift lobes.
