Custom Cycle Engineering's original Randy Smith conversion, so a narrow glide 19 or 21 inch wheel bolts into a 41mm wide glide front end.
Narrow glide wheels from an FXD or an XL are the ones people want on the front of a wide glide bike, and they will not simply drop in: the axle diameter is different and so is the disc offset. This kit answers both. It supplies an aluminum disc spacer to put the rotor where the caliper is, an axle spacer, socket head screws and a 3/4 inch axle to suit the narrow glide hub. It is the original Randy Smith design, which is the version this conversion has been done with for decades.
Features of the Disc Spacer Conversion Kit
- Allows a narrow glide 19 or 21 inch wheel from FXD and XL models to be installed in a 41mm wide glide front end
- Includes aluminum disc spacer, socket head screws, axle spacer and a 3/4 inch axle
- A second spacer is available for dual disc setups
- Original Randy Smith design
- Made in the U.S.A.
Disc Spacer Conversion Kit Fitment
Two versions. Choose by the year of the wheel and rotor you are fitting.
- Disc spacer for '84-'99
- Disc spacer for '00-'03
⚠️ VERIFY the year of the donor wheel and rotor, not the year of the bike it is going into. Harley-Davidson changed the front rotor offset in 2000, which is exactly why there are two versions of this kit.
Common Questions About the Conversion Kit
Is the axle included?
Yes. A 3/4 inch axle is in the kit, along with the axle spacer and the disc spacer.
What if I am running dual discs?
The kit covers a single disc. A second spacer is available separately for a dual disc front end.
Will my speedometer drive still work?
That depends on the donor hub and the year. Check what your bike uses before you take the front end apart; on a cable driven speedo the drive has to have somewhere to live.
