The billet spacer that makes room for a Barnett Scorpion lock-up clutch under the stock derby cover.
A lock-up clutch sits taller in the primary than the stock pressure plate, and on a '15-'23 touring model the OE derby cover no longer clears it. Barnett's answer is a machined spacer plate that moves the cover outboard by the amount needed, with an O-ring to seal the new joint and chrome Torx fasteners to hold it. It is a small part with a narrow job, and it is the one people find out about after the clutch is already in. If you are running Barnett's clear derby cover instead of the factory one, you do not need it.
Features of the Barnett Derby Cover Spacer
- Required when installing a Scorpion lock-up clutch while keeping the OE derby cover
- Billet aluminum spacer plate
- O-ring included to seal the joint
- Chrome Torx fasteners included
- Not required if you are using the Barnett clear derby cover
Derby Cover Spacer Fitment
- '15-'23 Harley-Davidson Touring models running a Scorpion lock-up clutch with the OE derby cover
⚠️ VERIFY which derby cover you plan to run before ordering. This spacer exists only to clear the lock-up clutch under the factory cover. A Barnett clear derby cover already has the depth and does not need it.
Common Questions About the Derby Cover Spacer
Do I need this with a stock clutch?
No. It is only needed to clear a Scorpion lock-up clutch.
Will it leak?
Not if it is assembled properly. The kit includes the O-ring for the new joint, and the original derby gasket still seals the cover.
Is the hardware included?
Yes. Chrome Torx fasteners come with the spacer, sized for the extra depth.
Works With
Prefer to see the lock-up work? The Barnett Scorpion Derby Cover has a clear polycarbonate window and does not need this spacer.
