Assault 2:1 Exhaust / '84-'94 and '99-'00 FXR

The Trask Assault 2:1 for the FXR is a current production, hand built stainless system for a chassis long out of the factory catalog.

Exhaust options for the FXR shrink every year, which makes a system still being hand built today worth noting. It is built to the same standard as the rest of the Assault line: 16GA stainless, mandrel bent, gas purged and TIG welded.

How the Assault FXR System Is Built

Gas purging protects the inside of every weld from oxidation during TIG welding. Mandrel bending keeps the inside diameter consistent, which matters on a tight FXR frame where the routing has to work around the chassis rather than through open space. A double slip fit with gusset reinforces the joint, and custom heat shields with wire-tied fasteners complete it.
