Assault 2:1 Exhaust / '18-'23 M8 Softail without Bags

The Trask Assault 2:1 for M8 Softail models is handmade from 16GA stainless, gas purged and TIG welded throughout.

Gas purging during welding is the step that separates a system built to last from one built to look right. Purging the inside of the tube stops the weld oxidizing where nobody can see it, which is where corrosion begins on a stainless exhaust. Trask does that by hand on every Assault system, and on an M8 Softail it is a pipe you will still be happy with in five years.

How the Assault System Is Built

Mandrel bending keeps a consistent inside diameter through every curve rather than crimping at the bends. A double slip fit with gusset adds strength at the joint where vibration concentrates. Custom heat shields with wire-tied fasteners give the system its race inspired look.

Drag Specialties lists this system for models without saddlebags. If your Softail has bags fitted, check clearance before ordering. Plan on retuning the bike after installation.
