The Rekluse Apex Clutch without Basket is the Apex system for riders reusing a serviceable clutch basket, covering M8 and '07-'16 Twin Cam models.

A clutch basket that is not worn does not need replacing, and this version of Apex acknowledges that. You get the same 60 percent increase in torque capacity and the same reduction in lever pull effort as the full kit, without paying for a basket you already have in good condition. On an otherwise healthy drivetrain that is the sensible version to buy.

How the Apex Clutch System Works

A patented Fixed-Pin billet hub carries a TorqDrive friction disk pack, putting more friction surface into the same space. Two sets of clutch springs at different stiffnesses ship with the kit, so engagement and lever weight can be matched to the engine build rather than accepted as delivered. Improved oil flow lowers operating temperature, which is what keeps engagement consistent instead of fading as the clutch heats.

Rekluse designed Apex for usable power delivery across a wide horsepower range, which is why a lock-up system is unnecessary on most builds. Lever feel consistency and modulation were design targets, and that shows up in traffic and mid-corner where an aggressive lock-up makes a bike harder to ride. Made 100 percent in-house in the USA.
