Legend Air-A Air Suspension replaces the stock shock on an '18-'22 M8 Softail with an air spring system adjustable from a handlebar mounted control.

Ride height on a Softail is normally a decision you make once, in a garage, with a wrench. Air changes that. The Legend Air-A lets you raise the bike for a loaded two up run and drop it at a stop light from a button on the bars, using Aramid fiber air springs that adjust spring rate on the go rather than committing you to one setting.

How the Air-A Suspension Works

Six external knob adjustments control rebound through needle valve technology, which is enough range for a light rider on a casual pace and a heavy rider pushing hard to each find their setting on the same shock. Deflective disc valved damping self adjusts to frequency, so sharp hits and long swells get different treatment. An internal floating nitrogen piston keeps damping consistent, low friction seals eliminate stiction, and a high flow piston reacts quickly to fluid movement. Spherical mount bearings top and bottom let the shock float in its mount and avoid bind.

Installation is straightforward for a system of this complexity: the shock mounts under the seat in place of the stock unit, and the air compressor arrives pre-wired on model specific mounting that sits under the bike ahead of the swingarm. The wire harness installs with three Deutsch connections. The handlebar control is finished to look OEM. Made in the USA.
