Legend Air-A Adjustable Air Suspension for the Tri Glide is built for a three wheel chassis, where load and ride height behave differently than on two wheels.
A trike does not lean, so the rear suspension is not managing the same forces a two wheel bagger's is. It is carrying more weight, over a wider track, with both rear wheels reacting independently to the road. Air suspension suits that particularly well because ride height and spring rate can be set for the load actually on the bike rather than for an average.
How the Air-A Tri Glide System Works
Aramid fiber air springs adjust spring rate on the move and maximize wheel travel at any chosen ride height. Six external knob adjustments fine tune rebound damping, letting light and heavy riders and casual or aggressive styles find their own settings. Deflective disc valved damping self adjusts to frequency, a high flow piston keeps fluid moving, and low friction seals eliminate stiction. Hard anodized machined aluminum bodies and spherical mount bearings top and bottom finish the build.
The air compressor ships pre-wired on model specific mounting with a complete wire harness and three Deutsch connectors, and an OEM looking handlebar mounted control handles adjustment on the go. Made in the USA.
