The S&S 96" Big Bore Kit takes an '84-'99 Evo Big Twin to 96 cubic inches with a 3 5/8" bore, 4 5/8" stroke and 9.75:1 compression.

96 inches out of an Evo is a well understood combination, and 9.75:1 is the reason it stays streetable. High compression numbers look better on paper, but on a Big Twin that has to start reliably and run on pump gas, a moderate ratio delivers more usable motor. This kit is aimed at that outcome rather than at a peak figure.
How the 96" Big Bore Kit Is Built
Cylinders are premium aluminum castings with cast-in iron liners, a combination that handles heat well and rebuilds conventionally when the time comes. The kit is complete as delivered: cylinders, pistons, rings, and head, base and exhaust gaskets all ship together, so nothing has to be sourced separately mid-build. Made in the USA.

Installing the 96" Kit
Installation requires crankcase boring and belongs with a skilled technician. Whoever assembles the motor is responsible for checking every clearance and assembly specification before it runs. Plan on retuning afterward.
