8mm Belt Drives with Lockup Clutch / '90-'93 FXR

The Belt Drives Ltd 8mm Belt Drive with Lockup Clutch fits '90-'93 FXR models and is offered in both 1-5/8" and 3" electric start configurations.

The choice between 1-5/8" and 3" is the decision to make here, and it has nothing to do with performance. The 3" system is wider, which looks the part on an open primary but will not clear floorboards. On an FXR set up with pegs that is a non-issue; on one with boards it rules the 3" out entirely.

What Comes in the Belt Drive Kit

Both widths include the front pulley, belt, clutch hub, clutch basket and an aramid clutch set of two half plates, four full plates and five steel drive plates. Every system ships with the Quiet Clutch and a ball bearing lockup pressure plate, which applies extra pressure to the clutch pack for positive engagement without slippage and without a heavier lever. The rear pulley uses a 40mm double-row bearing with a stress-proof steel inner clutch hub. Made in the USA.
