DID's top tier X-ring chain, with 40 percent more wear resistance than a standard X-ring and the same low friction running.
Chain life comes down to how well the sealing rings keep grease in and grit out. The ZVM-X2 uses DID's X-ring profile, which seals on four contact points instead of the single squashed face of an O-ring, so it holds lubricant longer while dragging less. What separates the ZVM-X2 from a standard X-ring chain is the wear resistance: DID rates it 40 percent higher, which shows up as fewer adjustments and a longer service interval rather than anything you feel on the first ride.

- 40 percent greater wear resistance and longer overall chain life
- DID's premium street and performance chain, developed for high output machines
- Supplied with a rivet style connecting link
- 530 pitch, 120 links
- Offered in black, natural and gold
530 ZVM-X2 Chain Fitment
530 pitch, 120 links, for chain drive applications. Most Harley-Davidson models leave the factory on a belt, so on a Harley this is a chain conversion part rather than a stock replacement.
⚠️ VERIFY your drive setup, pitch and required link count before ordering. Chain length is measured for your specific sprocket combination and swingarm length, and a 120 link chain can be shortened but never lengthened.
Common Questions About the 530 ZVM-X2 Chain
What is the difference between this and the 530 VX3?
The VX3 is DID's upgraded X-ring chain, rated at an 8 percent tensile strength increase over the previous generation. The ZVM-X2 sits above it, trading on wear resistance rather than outright strength, at 40 percent better than a standard X-ring.
Does it include a connecting link?
Yes. It ships with a rivet style connecting link. A rivet link needs a chain tool to install correctly and should not be substituted with a clip link on a high output application.
Can I shorten it?
Yes. 120 links is longer than most setups need, so it is normally shortened to fit. Count your required links before cutting.

Also from DID: the 530 VX3 Chain, offered in more link counts if 120 is not the length you need.
