Progressive 465 Series shocks with Remote Adjustable Preload let you change spring preload on an '18-'22 M8 Softail using a remote hydraulic adjuster.

Preload on most shocks means a spanner and a jacked up bike. RAP replaces that with a hydraulic adjuster mounted where you can reach it, so adding a passenger or a load stops being a garage job. On a Softail, where the single shock is hidden under the bike, that access is the difference between adjusting the suspension and never touching it.

How the 465 RAP Shocks Perform

A high pressure gas monotube design does the damping work through a 46 mm bore and a deflective disc piston, which gives precise control over a wide range. Five position rebound adjustment covers changing conditions and riding styles. A 16 mm hard chrome shaft rides on custom viton seals for low friction and leak free reliability, and the body and components are hard anodized aluminum for durability and corrosion resistance. Each shock is custom tuned for damping and spring rate per fitment rather than sold as a universal part.

Choosing Your Length and Duty Rating

13.1" is standard length for FLHC and FXFB models. 12.6" is standard length for FLDE, FLFB, FLSB, FLSL, FXBB, FXBR and FXLR. Heavy Duty is recommended for bikes operating at or near the manufacturer's maximum load rating more than half the time.

Before purchasing or installing shocks of a different length than OEM, confirm that your wheel travel can be altered without causing clearance problems. ⚠️ VERIFY your model and standard shock length before ordering.
