2-into-1 System with Three-Step Headers / M8 Bagger

The Khrome Werks 2-into-1 with Three-Step Headers is a 16 gauge system for M8 baggers, ending in a 4-1/2" HP-Plus muffler.

Three header steps rather than two is the detail worth understanding here. Each increase in diameter, from 1-3/4" to 1-7/8" to 2", gives the exhaust pulse somewhere to expand without losing velocity, and a high-low arrangement keeps the two primaries from fighting each other into the 2-1/2" collector. The payoff is torque and a low-frequency note rather than volume for its own sake.

How the Khrome Werks System Is Built

The 4-1/2" HP-Plus muffler takes a 2-1/2" inlet and carries a removable 1-1/2" absorptive baffle with a 3" reverse cone outlet, tuned to maximize torque. That baffle is wrapped in stainless steel wool and high temperature fiberglass, which is what gives the system its character rather than a straight-through drone. Heat shields run 220 degrees of coverage in 16 gauge. Made in the USA.
