Which Sportster Do You Have?
The air-cooled XL Sportster ran from 1957 to 2022 - one of the longest production runs in motorcycling - covering the XL883 and XL1200 in Iron, Forty-Eight, Roadster, Nightster, Custom and Superlow forms.
Two years change a lot of what fits: 2004, when the Sportster moved to a rubber-mounted frame and a great deal of chassis hardware changed with it, and 2007, when fuel injection replaced the carburetor.
The RH Sportster is a different motorcycle. The liquid-cooled RH975 Nightster and RH1250 Sportster S arrived in 2021 on the Revolution Max motor and share essentially nothing with the air-cooled XL. Those parts live in RH Sportster.

The air-cooled XL is cable throttle throughout. Check the year range and model codes on the product page against your own bike - with a run this long, "Sportster" on its own is not enough to go on.
